- I have 3 kids, the boys are 15 and 9 (has autism) and my girl is 6. I work as a PCA (home health care) and love it. My b/f is a long hall trucker, he has not kids of his own and is learninghow to be a parent and live with autism.. Mike is my god send..

- Jesse is 9 and a vey sweet boy, he has speach but only said what he wants of see, live in 5 min. world. loves to give you hugs and just be with people. We have gone a long ways from when he was not talking, I still sign some things when he is near or in meltdown. but just like you I live hour to hour and make it to the end of the day in one piece and am happy I made it throw a nother day.
- Favorite Thing To Do With Your Autistic Family Member:
- We love to go and spend the summer days at the lake. But any day just beeing with my kids is good.

He is not my friend, but he has come to stay in my child., We new he was there from an early age but did not know his name until my child was 5. Though we were fighting Autism since my child was 3.
Autism wants my child but I want my child more. When my child is 25 years old - will need someone to be with my child just like he was 4 years old. I guess that point I will win because I will always be mom and have someone to take care off!! ( a good mom always is happy taking care of her own ) But I will have to worry about that day that old age takes me away. Autism will still be in my child and who will care for my child then.
Autism has change my life style and scared my child father away. But Autism does not scare everyone. Autism may think he got the better hand, but I have true friends to lend an ear.
Autism makes me mad, and made me think why he came. I blamed myself for letting him in. I know I did not let Autism in. Though I have stopped and looked at my child a little different. I get more joy out of my child's smile, but Autism will not let my child say I love you. OOH yes the eyes on my child- I look in them and see joy and love of life, piece, and a world I would love to know better.
Autism did have my child's voice, but I have won the first battle, my child will tell me what my child wants and is looking at. Autism still keeps my child from talking like you. So that is one of the many battles I have with Autism, my war is not over until I can no longer breath.
Autism loves to show up in my child when we are shopping or doing something new. So please the next time you are shopping and see a child looking like he is spoiled brat and mom is calm trying to help the child. I bet it is Autism getting the better of that child. The mom can not hide, Just has to let the meltdown pass. She needs to get here day done just like you!
I am not doing half the thing that I dreamed I would do when I had kids, Autism is a full time job to keep my child safe. Autism has my life, but I try to send him away ever chance I get. My children are my world with or with out autism.
I asked God for a child with ten toes and fingers and for got to ask for my child to think like everyone else. I have to share my child with Autism and change my dreams but that is not as bad as it could be. I can still hugs my child good night and have joy with every milestone he passes.

poor lady in the middle!!
Ok, a month ago, I took Destoni to the bus and talked ot the girl down the street form us with her little brother.. I said some thing about autism and the handicapt bus. Then she told me that they were testing for autism in her brother.. Yes he looked like he had his sighs.. We are trying another med ot make school happy
We are going to try METADATE CD 10 mg cap.. I guess this med will work or turn him even worse.. I get to exparment with it in Saterday or Sunday.. Before I give it to him and send him to school.. I do not know why they have more problems with him at school then home.. He leaves the house happy and comes home happy.. This med is exposto work like a asprin you take it and it kicks in about 30. and last 7 to 8 hours and only has to be taken when needed not every day.. So we are going to give it a t… Continue

he will not tell me he loves me
ok, the sitter used my car one night because hers was getting fixed (she lives 20 mile out of town). Jesse wanted to go to the store. I told him sorry no car.. So he goes to the window and looks, then tell him who has it and he is good with that.. The next day I get my car back, Jesse does not look to see that it is back.. This morning he goes to the window and see the car parked in it spot.. "OOO my car is back, I love my car.."
