My husband and I have 4 kids. 3 of them have special needs. We have been trying a biomedical approach for the last 1 1/2 yrs. Our 13 yr. old was diagnosed with Type I Diabetes when he was 6 yrs old. Our two middle children, 8 yrs and 11 yrs, both have severe Autism. Our 4th child, 2 1/2 yrs old, has hit all his milestones and even been ahead on some of them! We took every precaution we could think of while I was pregnant, to ensure that he came out healthy and with a fighting chance against diabetes and autism. God willing, he will continue to develop normally...

I have two businesses. Bianca's Pantry and XanGo. Through Bianca's Pantry I provide GFCF (gluten free, casein free) foods for children and adults who are on this type of restricted diet for autism or celiac disease. I also provide cooking classes and shopping classes. The second business is XanGo. This is a functional health beverage that contains xanthones, they posses potent antioxidant properties that may help promote a healthy lifestyle.

A look at some of our experiences with the GFCF diet

Here is an email that I sent to a woman (this was back in October) who was very frustrated with the GFCF diet and her daughter. She was ready to give up on the diet....

"Don't quit. She's dazed, sick, and tired because she's in withdrawal. The gluten and casein protiens act like opioids in the body...opiates, morphine. Our kids are picky eaters because they know what gets them high and that's all they want to eat. My kids used to live on milk and goldfish crackers. Now they are gfcf and I knContinue

XanGo and our two autistic children

Some issues I have seen with our two autistic children:

Yeast - we had already taken care of this problem with my daughter, but my son was having the same problem. We were in the process of giving him very strong doses of a prescription antifungal called Nystatin when we were introduced to XanGo. We started giving him the juice and we saw an immediate change in his bowel movements, which we had not seen with just the prescription. When you have yeast die off there will be a change… Continue

My personal experience with XanGo

Hello everyone! My name is Bianca McCarver....but you can call me "the hip lady"!
Our neighbor, Alexander Bond, introduced us to XanGo. My husband and I have 4 children, 3 of whom have special needs. Our intention was to try the juice for a full 90 days on ourselves before giving it to our children. I was 33 years of age at the time but, if you had seen me on any given morning, you would have thought that I was in my 80's....seriously! My arthritis pain would start shortly after I went to bed fo… Continue

Hi Bianca..it's nice to meet you. I have a support group over on Yahoo for mom's with loved ones with Autism. If you would like to join we'd love to have you. The only thing I ask is that you be somewhat active with the group. Participation is encouraged. It's a small group of moms sharing the challenges and joys of raising a child with autism.
