I helped Diana create it because she wanted Dads, Grand Parents and Siblings to have a network too. Mine is just for Moms, so she started this one for everybody else. Good job Diana!

About Me:

If you met me between April 9th, 1969 and September 29th, 1990 then you would know me as Christi Ann Watts.

However if you met me after September 29th, 1990 you would know me as Christi Watts Redden. Even though I divorced the idiot I married, I kept the last name because my lawyer said it would confuse my son Jamie, (then 2) if we didn’t have the same last name. So that’s what my name is and was. And now it is Christi Watts Redden Ehlinger. That is a lot of names. But since so many people know me by my first married name, how will they know me if it’s not in there. They never knew my as a Watts. I don’t know what to do about that, maybe I’ll figure it out one day.

I graduated from Greenwood High in 1987!!! My word…I’m old. That was such a LONG time ago!! This year was my 20 year reunion, I didn’t go though. Just couldn’t make it.

I’m now 38 (39 in April) and a stay home mother of two boys. Jamie was 17 on New Year’s Eve 2007, and Ethan was 4 December 10th, 2007. Yes 13 years apart…started over!

We are just one big happy family…yeah right. No, really we are…sort of. LOL Well as happy as you can be with a teenager and a 4 year old.

Ethan has Autism so that is a big part of our life. We are always dealing with that and trying to find out as much as we can about it. What to do with him and for him to make his life and ours easier. It is a never ending battle, but we get through it somehow.

About Your Autistic Family Member:

Ethan is 4 years old and the light of my life. We got the DX of Autism when he was just over 2. Since then he has been getting Speech/OT and he has an Easter Seals girl that comes to the house once a week and works with him. He started pre-school the day after he turned 3. He has a great teacher and he is doing quite well. He takes Risperdal, Clonidine and Melatonin. The Melatonin is to make him go to sleep, the Clonidine keeps him asleep and the Risperdal is "what most Autistic kids need" according to his nurse practitioner. He had never slept all night until we got his meds straightened out. As I’m sure most of you know, when you start meds you try this for awhile, then you try that for awhile and then you finally get it right. Now we sleep all night long!! It’s awesome. So that about all there is to my little man.

Favorite Thing To Do With Your Autistic Family Member:

Just hang out with him and hug and kisses ar always fun. He like to read books so wedo that too.
