My son, Kaleb, has been potty-trained for about 1 1/2 years now.....but when I say potty-trained, I do not mean completely. He can be in underwear all day and use the potty to pee but he will not do #2 in there. For that he has to have a pull-up. Also, he wears a pull-up for nap and bedtime. I really want to break him from the pull-ups but I am at a loss on how to accomplish this. It is so easy to fall into your daily family routine. After days of smooth sailing....you begin to feel like everything is looking good. The autism almost seems silenced....not completely, I mean my son has autism....you can't deny it but it doesn't seem so bad when days go by and your routine works like a charm....then BAM! Meltdown!
