The reason I chose this name is because Autism doesn't have a face so we need not to give it one!
- Favorite Thing To Do With Your Autistic Family Member:
- Play on trampoline- we have 2 of them (a 12ft and a 15ft), go to the park, just being around him and enjoying his company.
- Thing You Hate Most About Autism:
- The Communication Barrier, I hate that he can't talk to me and I know he wants to. But he is becoming more visual and is able to show me with signs and symbols of what he needs and wants, and if he got hurt - how it happened, and who did it, and with what. I am very proud of him!

To talk a little while

Hello Jennifer and welcome to Families. I too have an autistic son, Michael now 17 years old so I do understand the emotions and daily mountians we climb for our children..as well as the frustration. You are sooo right autism does not have a face YET..but as we continue to support each other , educate and push autism awareness it WILL have a face don't ya' think???/ I hope my site supports and reminds you that you are not alone and just as special as your child..hope to hear from you soon...MANY HUGS
