Hi everyone..

Just wanted to let you know we got through the storm with no problems, thank you God. We didn't even lose power, which is totally amazing to me, since we were having 35-40 mph sustained winds with gusts up to 60 mph all night and into the morning hours. We did get a lot of rain. We are still getting rain from the feeder bands from the storm as it moves through central Florida. I'm just glad it didn't turn out to be worse for us than it was. Hurricane Charley slammed into the SW Florida coastline as a category 4 storm. I will never forget it. The day started out with my family watching the weather updates on TV nonstop. Charley was located in the Gulf of Mexico as a Cat 2 storm. It was predicted to hit the Tampa area. We were preparing, but not too worried since Tampa is 2 1/2 hours north of us.

I was so excited back in Febuary when I signed my son up for summer camp. I even blogged about it. I mean I didn't even know such a program for special needs kids existed. Before signing him up, I had to do an assessment over the phone with the supervisor of the camp. This is done to determine if your child would qualify for this particuliar program.
