Hello to all!!! Sorry to anyone who has sent me messages/comments and hasnt gotten a response. Been VERY busy with life to say the least!!!! For a short run-through.... moved into new place on Nov.1st, spent lots of time getting organized (if there i such a thing! lol) and then of course the holidays not bad for the most part. The appointment yesterday went very well. We discussed lots of options and I hope we came up with the best solution for John for the time being. The doctor seems to think that John is suffering from a for now single episode of major depressive disorder due to such intense sensory issues. He believes that this causes him to draw inward and can be causing the visual/auditory hallucinations. He tells me that psychosis in a child his age is so rare that he doesnt think thats what we have going on. W… Continue

So we go to the doctor tommorrow and I think I am going to see about changing around some meds. I know its hard on him but the only thing I have seen in the past month is the present ones helping with sleep but the day is terrible! Lots of temper tantrums, mood swings,and also regressing to lots of old behaviors. Attachment to inanimate objects has come back full-blown, and some other what I call "OCD" behaviors. Well, today has been another long, stressfull, yet productive day. From my blog yesterday after the IEP meeting things were set right into motion. John's principal, who is a WONDERFUL man, called his doctor first thing this morning to up the sence of urgency on the following:

So today was John's annual IEP to touch base on some things we may want to change for the rest of this year and see if they will work for next year as well. It has been a really rough year!
