Hope your week is going great!!! Matthew had the stomach flu but is feeling better now. He's heading off to school in a few minutes, its the highlight of his day. He loves riding the school bus.

Yes!! Lauren and Sam have a lot in common...the first time she heard and we read about Sam she was so excited and said she's like me....and not only that, i thought it was funny that we are both Sharon aka Shaz(z). Lauren started singing before she talked. I'm hoping to get her into vocal lessons after the holidays as I saw her break out of her shell for the first time in front of lotz of people when she went on stage with Dilana and sang..so I really want to help her do that more! She still talks about it and it was back in March.
Tonights a rough night. We had a family get together with about 12 of us and it was a lot for her so I'm glad that she's calmed down and in bed.

- i really never know what to say in these things....
Married to Geoff 3 children 2 on the spectrum, 1 grandaughter and 2 cats.
I write poetry as a release and sometimes for fun. And i collect lumps of glass (Paper weights)
- About Your Autistic Family Member:
- Samantha is 14 and Andie is 16, both have Classic Kanner Autism and both have a communication disorder as well. This is a challenge in their life but they are for the most part happy being who they are.
Sam loves to sing and 2 years ago she started sharing her voice with the family and recorded a CD single as a Christmas card :)
Last year she worked really hard and made (with the help of a family friend Mjay) a CD Album to help raise awareness and some cash for the kid's schools.
Her song "I Have A Voice" was created by MJay about how she uses music to communicate her feelings to people around her.
Andie is also musical but will not sing outside of the house. We have caught him a few times in the studio singing with Sam... and managed to record it. and at Christmas they both did Seasons of love which we caught on video... Sadly i have no ideas how to put that onto the computer.... sigh
thats about all i can think of to say for now

Sometimes the smallest thing can have the most unexpected reaction.
I have been on the net a long time... and in all that time I've plodded along doing what i do and managed pretty much to stay in the background.
I agreed eventually after Ray our eldest nagged us to let Sam get a bebo page... then i let her get her own domain because of the newspaper story that was printed up about her.
