he also likes to go swimming with me and collect shells on the beach
Thing You Hate Most About Autism:
I hate his violent rages as at that time i just cant get through to him he,s like a different boy also the fact that at 13 he cant cross a road on his own or go to the shops which other kids can do

Yes we have recovered from that food posioning but we will never eat at that restaurant again!! Thats great that Joseph has a hamster now. How is he doing with it? My daughter has had hamsters now for about 4 1/2 years. She loves them. She even has books on them. She enjoys taking it out of the cage to play with it. If you have any questions on hamsters just let me know. What type of hamster did you get him? The syrian hamsters seem to be the best ones. They are the easiest ones to tame.
It was great to from you. I haven't been on here for a long time either.Sorry to hear that you got that virus going around too. We all had it here also. Then my daughter and I got really sick and thought it was that virus again but it wasn't. We were both in the hospital with food posioning! We went out to eat at a restaurant and we both ordered chicken parmesan and it turned out the chicken was bad. We have been doing good other than that just really busy. Michael is in cubscouts now. My husband is the den leader for the bears which is what Michael is. Then I took the secretary position. I must be crazy! So between cyberschooling my daughter, cubscouts & girlscouts we are so busy. I get so tired of being on the computer sometimes. Sorry to hear about Joseph's tantrums. How is he doing now? I understand the weight gain. Michael is over weight and it seems no matter what we do we can't get him to loose any of it. Michael has been also having alot of tantrums. I think it has to do with too much homework. He wasn't getting a chance to do anything at home because the teacher kept sending home more homework all the time. His teacher and I had talk and we just started something new this week. She is giving him a period in school just to do his homework so he don't have to do it at home. We are going to try that for about 2 to 3 weeks and see how it goes. If he is still having problems then we may pull him out of his mainstream reading class and back into his class with a less demanding reading program. Well take care...hope to hear from you soon.
I'm so sorry to hear you were sick. I haven't been on much lately myself. I guess everyone gets busy during the holidays and all.
I'm wishing Joseph well -- Eric is doing well also -- he has went through a hitting stage -- seeming to start to understand that it is not acceptable, and that makes him mad too. He's finally adjusting to school, but had a hard time during the holidays because of all the school days off.
Take care - I'm going to try to get on a bit more often. First I have to catch up with the paperwork though. : o )

Hi Lynda. It was so great to hear from you. We are beginning the steps toward transition to high school( as we live in a rural area, elementary school and middle school are in the same building and so Chris has been at the same school for K - 8). He will be going from a school of just over 100 students to a school of 650 students and the change is causing anxiety for us all. Hopefully it will all work out and our stresses will diminish. Hope Joseph is getting along well. Take care and keep us posted

HI lYNDIA..i HOPE ALL IS WELL FOR YOU AND FAMILY....I TOO HAVE DECREASED MICHAEL'S MED TO EVERY OTHER DAY. HE HAS BEEN ON RISPERIDAL 0.5 MG FOR ABOUT THE LAST 5 YEARS SO I AM DECREASING HIM AND HE IS DOING OK SO FAR. WE RECENTLY ALSO INIATED A POINT SYSTEM BOARD. IT'S JUST A DRY ERASE BOARD THAT HE EARNS SO MANY POINTS FOR CHORES, GOD BEHAVIOR, AND TAKES AWAY POINTS FOR INAPPROAITE BEHAVIOR. HE HATES TO LOSE POINTS. WHEN HE GETS A MINIMUM OF 100 POINTS IN A WEEK HE EARNS A SPECIAL TREAT ON SUNDAY....HIS BEHAVIOR HAS IMPROVED, ESPECIALLY NOW THAT HE HAS LEARNED THAT I MEAN BUSINESS FOR TAKING POINTS AWAY FROM HIM FOR THINGS LIKE HITTING HIMSELF, ETC.......I HOPE JOSEPH IS DOING WELL AND WILL CONT. TO PRAY FOR YOU AND FAMILY..I UNDERSTAND THE FRUSTRATION AND HEARTACHE...LOTS OF LOVE AND HUGS

Hi Lynda,I forgot to say thankyou for the 9/11 comment. I don't send comments with codes on here because I don't know how to do it but I know how to do it on myspace.
